If not taken good and proper care on a daily basis the condition of the skin may get worse resulting bleeding and cracking.

Just by following simple skin care regime you can definitely solve all the skin problems related to the winter season. Wear warm clothes head to toe

In winter season protect yourself by wearing gloves, scarf, hat, sweaters, blazers and jackets. This keeps your body warm, avoiding direct contact from cold breeze. Invest your money in purchasing a good pair of socks to avoid cracked feet.

Cleansing and washing

Take bathe with Luke warm water every day. Very hot water can leave the skin very dry, so avoid doing that. Add few drops of grape oil or olive oil in warm water just before taking a bath. Or you may just massage the body with olive oil; this will leave your skin supple and glowing. In winters feet gets cracked and rough, for cracked heels, first of all, cleanse them with Luke warm water and leave it for 15 minutes, then scrub with a pumice stone, and apply apricot cream and leave it overnight. Do this in a week for healthy heels.

Moisturize the skin of the body and face just after taking bath. This will help the skin to quickly absorb the cream. Use good quality of ointments and creams for winters. It is also very much important to wash the face and then apply a good night cream before going to bed. This will leave your skin beautiful and glowing throughout the day with getting dry. Keep a handy lip balm in your purse and apply it frequently to heal cracked and chapped lips. Moisturize the elbows, knee and feet daily because this area of the body gets dry soon, try using Aloe Vera rich creams. Scrub your hand with sugar and lemon juice mixture to get smooth skin. Use sunscreen lotion before going out.

 

 

Keep yourself hydrated and eat balanced diet

While shopping in grocery, add healthy and high in water content food in your cart. Include fruits and vegetables like carrot, apples, milk, kiwi, cucumbers, spinach etc. Eat few dry fruits daily and drink plenty of water. In winters, the climate is very dry outside and inside its warm and hot because of room heaters; this dehydrates our body to a great extent. Drink warm water early in the morning by adding few drops of lime juice in it. Vitamin C, omega-3 fatty acid and minerals content fruits and vegetables like flax seeds, salmon, lemon, orange, spinach etc, helps and support the production of healthy elastic and collagen in winters.

 

Hair care

In winters, hair needs extra care. Give a good hair oil massage and wrap the hair with a hot towel and leave it for some time and then next morning use mild herbal shampoo, this will give your hair good conditioning. Use coconut oil, tea-tree oil or any other oil containing vitamin E. Purchase a good shampoo and conditioner for winters which does not dry the scalp and hair. Do not wash hair with hot water, instead use warm water. In winters, dandruff is a common problem, to avoid this use apple cider vinegar to rinse your hair or add few drops of lemon in water; this will definitely help in reducing dandruff.

Protect your eyes

Cold breeze and dry weather are very much harmful to the sensitive eyes. Not only the skin and hair get affected but it leaves the eyes dry and irritated. Always keep medicated eye drops to refresh and moisten the eyes. Wear glares while stepping out in the sun.
