Saying that giving birth is a tough job doesn’t really cover up all that a mother goes through, but the part following child birth isn’t easy either. Keeping the baby clean and healthy is an extremely exhaustive and time consuming task. However tedious the task is, the importance of breastfeeding can never be overlooked. With a little help of a certain well designed products, you can reduce your worries without compromising the health of your baby.

A number of products can help you decrease the difficulty during breastfeeding. Some of them are:

  1. The silicon Nipple Shield

Sometimes the baby might not have a proper latch because the both the baby’s lips might not be turned out. It should be made sure that the baby should suck onto the areola and not only the nipple. The silicon nipple gives a firm latch and also maintains a gap between the baby and the mother.

  1. Breast pumps

Well, the name is indicative here. The breast pump does look a bit painful but it has its advantages. You might be working, your baby might not want to suck on your nipples or you might just want to get a good night’s sleep, pump out the milk from your breast and just give the bottle to somebody else for a change. They can either be powered by hand or foot movements, batteries or by electricity.

  1. Nursing aprons

You obviously need your privacy when you are feeding your child. The nursing aprons fulfil their purpose by being stylish as well covering you up.  These aprons are clothes made of cotton, free from chemicals like latex, brighteners, phthalates and other additives. So follow up because you have got to be in vogue ladies!

  1. Breast shells

You should use them if you have inverted or flat nipples to pull it out so that your baby doesn’t have to struggle to be fed.

  1. Nursing Pads

Things can get a tad bit embarrassing if you have a leak. Seeing a wet spot near your nipples might raise some eye brows and it is obviously a bit difficult to hide. You can use nursing pads to avoid this. All you have to do is keep them inside your bra so that you don’t have any leakage. These are not at all costly and are washable and so can be used over and over again.

  1. Medicines

Your baby gets hungrier every day and you feel like your supply isn’t all that good. You should go consult your doctor and ask him how to increase your lactation. If you are scared they might cause side effects, you can also look for herbal medicines.

  1. Gel pads

Your baby is growing up real quick. The baby is slowly weaned of the breast but that also means your breasts aren’t that comfortable because you feel full as you are nursing the baby less. You can stick these gel pads, either hot or cold in your bras for relief.

  1. Nipple Cream

This one is a must have if you are suffering from cracked or sore nipples. The cream immediately soothes and heals the nipples. It doesn’t harm the baby at all and neither does the baby feel any difference during breast feeding. An extra tip: this cream works on dry lips too.

Taking care of your baby’s needs ensures the happiness of both mother and child. Having the right nursing products to help you through can make the process a lot easier.
