People may suffer from joint pain because of various reasons like, arthritis, sprain, ligament injury, or even the cold weather. Whatever the reason might be joint pain is one of the most sever pain people face in their lives. It lowers the efficiency of your work and constantly hampers your concentration. What is worse is that it reduces the bodys immunity. But there are really very easy home remedies to reduce the joint pains, which can be used despite the reason for the joint pain and the age of the sufferer.

1. Hot water and salt: The solution of hot water with salt is known to be a great anti-inflammatory. It relaxes the tight muscles, reduces the swelling on the body part, the warmth of the water relieves the body pain ultimately reducing the suffering. This is a very old technique, in use for a long time and can be used for any kind of joint pain. All you have to do is warm up some water and add some salt to it, then immerse the aching body part in that solution and you will feel relieved in no time.

2. Massage: Massage improves the blood circulation in the body, it also helps to sooth the swelling on a body part. It is also said that regular massage helps to reduce pain and stiffness in the body. You can use any oil to massage your joints, but using Mustard Oil,
Coconut Oil or garlic oil is advisable because these oils are anti-inflammatory in nature.

3. Temperature variation: Both heat and cold help to reduce the pain and stiffness in the body. Heat decreases the pain, improves the blood circulation and soothes sore muscles, where as cold numbs the area of application and reduces inflammation. You can use either method but usually one one method is used at a time to gain maximum benefits out of this therapy.

4. Fenugreek: It is very rich in antioxidants and is anti-inflammatory in nature. All you have to do is eat a spoonful of finely ground Fenugreek seeds along with a glass of water. Else you can also soak some fenugreek seed in water overnight and consume it in the morning or drink variyali sharbet.

5. Turmeric: Of all the spices we know, I think Turmeric is the one with most medicinal properties. It is very rich in antioxidants and is anti-inflammatory in nature. The simplest and probably the best way to consume turmeric is to add a spoonful of turmeric powder to a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. You will be relieved in a few weeks.

6. Ginger: Ginger is a very beneficial and medicinal root. It is rich in antioxidants and thus is great for health. A cup of ginger tea is great to relieve from pain of swollen joints. Even merely grating ginger and adding it to your regular tea will relieve you from joint pain.

7. Aloe Vera: Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties hence relieving the body swelling. Drinking Aloe Vera juice helps reduce the inflammation caused by arthritis. Topical application of aloe vera gel eases joint muscles thus reducing the joint pain.

8. Cayenne: This might sound very weird but its true that cayenne pepper is very useful in treating joint and muscular pains. Cayenne pepper or any other pepper contain a chemical called capsaicin which is responsible for the heat in the pepper. This heat helps to relieve the swelling and pain in the joints.

9. Exercise: I know you must be thinking how are you supposed to even move let alone exercise when your body is aching, but trust me, exercise is the best, most effective and long lasting method to relieve the body from pain. If your pain is severe, start slow. Do easy exercise and start with only a few repetitions. As you see the progress, as your body starts responding and supporting you, increase the intensity of your exercise. Continue with the regime and you will see the difference for yourself. This is the reason why physiotherapy is important.

Now you know that when you are in pain, you need not cry, just try on these simple remedies using the things easily available in your kitchen and you are good to go!
