Pain in the belly, stomach cramps, abdominal aches, indigestion, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) are some of the most problematic stomach-based ailments around.

You need not go looking for cures to these ailments via expensive medications, even costlier surgeries, or risky alternative medicines that may or may not work. Using simple recipes from natural organic sources, you can brew or cook your own cure from the comfort of your home. Near-instant relief is quite possible.

  1. Are You Kidding? Rice Water Works? For Stomach Pain

As incredulous as it may seem, rice water (the remaining water after rice is cooked) is a ‘demulcent’. The inflammation relieving substance creates a becalming barrier over the stomach membranes, specifically the ones lining your inner stomach.

  • Take 2 cups of water, ½ cup of white rice (preferably non-processed and organic), and of course a cooking pot.
  • Your aim is to make use of the water, so add twice the amount than what you usually would for the same quantity of rice.
  • Put the pot on the stove or electric cooker, add the required water amount, throw in the rice, and cook at medium-low heat.
  • When you know the rice has become tender, take it off the stove/electric cooker. Keep the lid on and let the rice soak for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Drink the water warm. Not cool, hot, or lukewarm, the rice water has to be warm when it goes down.
  • For taste, add some organic honey to the glass.
  • The rice, on the other hand, can be saved for a later meal; either bland or mixed with non-spicy sauces that will not cause further stomach upsets.

All this time, we drained the rice water instead of paying attention to its powerful curative properties.

  1. Big Things Come in Small Packages. Fennel Seeds Can Cure Stomach Aches.

Whether it is indigestion or something slightly worse, chewing fennel seeds can make a huge difference. They contain a reactive oil called ‘anethole’ that induces digestive juice secretion to help with proper food flow through the intestines.

  • ½ to 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds will be sufficient.
  • You simply chew them thoroughly after a meal, and that is it.
  • Important Note: Avoid fennel seeds if you are pregnant.

These seeds come packing amazing alleviation capabilities, specifically the way they can reduce inflammation pains in the belly. You will see marked relief from gastritis as well.

  1. I Am Comfortable Drinking Organic Teas. Will Chamomile Serve Nicely to Help Me Fight Stomach Pains?

It may read like a gentle substance, not nearly potent enough to make change happen in your system. However, chamomile tea has quite the mighty anti-inflammatory punch.

  • 1-2 tablespoons of dried chamomile or a teabag of the same will do.
  • A mug and hot water is all you need to brew yourself a tea of chamomile.
  • If you happen to use a teabag (more convenient), pour hot water over it, close the mug, and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  • In case you have dried chamomile ready for use, follow the same steps but let it steep for 15-20 minutes.
  • Do not gulp the tea down no matter what pains you may be experiencing. Sip it, take your time with it. The gradual flow helps.

If your stomach lining has grown inflamed due to bacteria or gastritis, chamomile tea helps relax the upper digestive track’s muscle lining. As a consequence, the contractions that move food through the intestines become gentler, meaning less painful spasms and cramping.
