Baking soda is a multi-tasking ingredient for sure. It is used for curing several skin and hair related problems. So, make sure you keep this ingredient handy at home. It basically exfoliates the dead skin of the scalp, thus treating the dandruff flakes. It also kills the fungus on the scalp, which may also cause dandruff. To use baking soda, just mix one tablespoon of this powder to one cup of warm water. You can pour in a few drops of rosemarry oil to this liquid. Store in a shampoo bottle and wash your hair with it once a week. Besides, you can also mix some baking soda in your regular shampoo to combat dandruff.

Rinsing hair with apple cider vinegar is a sure shot treatment of dandruff during winters. This is effective because it directly targets the roots from where the dandruff erupts. Vinegar helps in removing flaky skin without clogging the pores of the skin. Besides, an overgrowth of fungus is also one of the causes behind dandruff, for which apple cider vinegar is the best remedy. To use it, you need half cup of lukewarm water and apple cider vinegar each. Just mix them together and rinse your tresses with this water. Do not wash your hair for about 12 hours. Do this treatment once a week for quick relief.
