Sebum is a protective coating of oil secreted by the sebaceous gland that helps in preventing various bacterial infections and keeps the skin hydrated. Sebum produced in normal quantities could be helpful in keeping the skin fresh and youthful. Its over-secretion, however, causes pimples and acne. Both invite germs and bacteria to settle on the skin, and tarnish appearance. This is a growing problem, especially among teens. Tackling this over-secretion is, in fact, simple if the right help is employed. Seven tips that help fight acne, pimples, etc are:

  1. Keep the skin clean and dry

Use a face wash to remove dust and oils on the surface of the skin. Choosing the right face was carefully is vital since a lot of options in the market have chemicals and other ingredients that could reach lethally with the skin. Healthy options like avocado and rose containing washes are very helpful.

  2. Open up the skin pores to healthy air
Use a face cleanser to clean skin all the way to the pores. This keeps the pores well aired and free from accumulated sweat, dead skin, etc. Exhibit caution while choosing a face cleanser too. Hazardous substances in some cleansers will have the complete opposite effect to what is desired.
  3. Face masks
Face masks  are ideal for acne prone skin. Face masks ensure absorption of oil and make the skin clean, smooth and dry. Many clear skin masks contain botanicals that help remove both surface impurities and deeply embedded toxins. Anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal neem based masks flush toxins, lighten scars and pigmentation.

  4. Supplements
