A busy city life can oft be exhausting and pushing you to the limits of physical exertion. It is impossible to run through days in a week without being completely worn down at the end of it. Not weeks, even in a day, you can be exhausted completely because of the demands of city life. Though city life has its perks, city life does not and cannot offer a peaceful and lazy life. You are left behind if you are lazy.

A typical day filled with energy requires energy boosters of some form or the other. Energizing yourself for a peppy day is something every city dweller should learn. There are natural ways and foods to energize yourself. Going in for the synthetic alternatives that promise better results is up to you, but synthetic energy boosters have varying side effects, which are not present in organic foods and energy boosters.

There are also quick ways to boost your energy naturally, without having to consume foods, but these are energy boosters that do not last long because they are psychologically induced energy boosters and their effect wanes after a while. However, they can prove effective for short term jobs. A few of them are:

  • Listening to peppy and groovy music
  • Flirting or even looking at a pretty girl nearby
  • Tea!
  • Cold Showers
  • Wearing bright colored clothes
  • Power naps
  • Dark chocolates
  • Acupuncture

All these are effective and proved to be so. And yes, even you would have felt all of these giving you immense energy all of a sudden. However, on a longer term, organic and natural energy booster foods can give you better results.

Brown Rice

The sweet-tasting, life-giving nectar, honey! Honey has many uses. It is an anti-oxidant, it is anti-bacterial, and now it is an energy giver too! A teaspoon of honey is equivalent to a bottle of energy drink; such is its potency. It helps to relax the muscles during a workout and keeps the muscles from wearing out.

Bananas

The first thing that comes to your mind when we say bananas, are minions, isn’t it? Minions are those cute, little, hyper-energetic creatures from the animated movies, which survive plainly on bananas. They are banana lovers; why shouldn’t you be? Bananas are a great source of potassium and iron that can give instant energy to the body.
