Tea is perhaps one of the best-known beverages for us Indians. The temperature outside changes the temperature inside the cup. A cold winter evening means a hot cup of tea and a hot summer afternoon equals a chilled glass of tea. Most of us, use tea to drink as a beverage, but there are many other uses of tea that we are unaware of. So brew a cup of your favorite tea and enjoy it while reading its benefits, and while you are straining your tea, don’t throw the tea leaves away, you never know how it might be useful to you.

 

  1. Gas And Bloating

 

Ginger tea is one of the best ways to treat digestion related problems like indigestion, nausea acidity, gasses, bloating, burping, you name it. So next time you are suffering any stomach related problems, just drink a cup of ginger tea and your problems would be solved.

 

  1. Cough And Cold

 

One of the oldest known remedy to mankind to treat a cough and cold is tea. Just brew your tea in hot water and sip it to your heart’s content. Alternatively, you can also make ginger tea or peppermint tea which is an expert to soothe a cough and cold. Just add a tablespoon of fresh or powdered ginger in a cup of boiling hot water, cover it and let it steep for 10 minutes. Drink this tea 2-3 times a day to decongest your nose and soothe your throat irritation. Else you can also try making peppermint tea.

Placing a wet tea bag on your sunburn, helps to soothe, treat and heal the sunburn. Just in case you are back from a hot and sunny holiday relaxing and enjoying on beaches and now you see the sunburn all over your body, the best way to treat and soothe your overall sunburns is to prepare a tea bath and soak in the goodness of tea.

 

  1. Drain Boils And Blisters

 

Boils and blisters are really very irritating. They are ugly, painful and worst of all itchy. They itch so much that we feel like scratching them. While scratching them might seem like a good option, in reality, it causes more harm than relief. The best way to treat boils and blisters is to place a wet tea bag on it, secure it with a medical tape and leave it as it is overnight. This will drain out all the pus from the boils and blisters without causing any pain.

 

  1. Tired Eyes

 

One of the best home remedies for tired eyes is tea bags. Usually, tired eyes look puffy and dull. Many times, due to fatigue, we see dark circles under our eyes. For all these eyes related issues, the best thing you can do is relax. While relaxing and sleeping helps a lot to soothe tired eyes, placing tea bags soaked in cold water help to relax quicker. You will see that your eyes are brightening up.

 

  1. Foot Odor

 

If your feet sweat a lot and you suffer from the problem of foot odor, tea will rescue you. Brew some tea add it to a tub, without diluting it. Now soak your feet in this tub of tea. Regularly repeating this process will fight the bad odor in your feet and relax you at the same time, thus preventing you from any further embarrassment.

Another great use of a tea bag is to soothe an aching tooth. A toothache is no less than a headache, it causes pain when you drink water, eat, and sometimes even when your tongue touches it. This is when a tea bag comes handy. Put a tea bag in some warm water, only to wet it and press this wet tea bag in your aching tooth. Now press it hard with your jaw and let the juices linger around the aching tooth. You will be relieved soon.

Herbal teas like green tea or chamomile tea help to aid digestion and boost metabolism. They are also a rich source of antioxidants that fight free radicals. This will in turn help you to lose those few extra pounds that you have been willing to shed for quite some time.
