Stomach aches have numerous reasons and the suffering is horrible. Its hard to decide whether or not to visit a doctor with something as trivial as a stomach ache. Just in case you are wondering whether or not to make an appointment with your doctor, while holding your stomach tight to make the pain little bearable, try on these home remedies, they might at least soothe your pain.

1. Turmeric: I often wonder about the roots we consume. Its strange but true that most of the plant roots we consume carry medicinal properties and are healthy, be it ginger, onion, garlic, or turmeric. (Thinking about potatoes? I said most of them besides, potatoes aint that bad) Turmeric, probably is the epitome of healthy root! It is great for skin, cough and cold, gum health, digestion, wounds, you name it. Turmeric is anti-fungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory. It is rich in antioxidants. Thus helps to soothe a lot of irritations and pains. Turmeric also works wonders to soothe stomach aches. Just mix some Turmeric Powder into warm milk and drink it. The milk will help to reduce the acidity and turmeric will reduce the swelling or cure the ulcers, causing the stomach pain. In case you are lactose intolerant, you can mix turmeric powder into warm water instead of milk. Alternatively, you can also add Turmeric Essential Oil to your warm milk or water instead of turmeric powder. This also doubles as an overall digestive tonic and will reach the problem area sooner than the powder due to its liquid state.

2. Digestive pills: Or pachak goli as we know it more commonly. These digestive pills are packed with natural and herbal products which aid digestion and relieve from digestion related stomach aches. The Pachak Hing Goli contains hing or asafoetida which simulates appetite and improves digestion. Asafoetida is anti-flatulent, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and laxative. Hing is the best natural remedy for bloating and gas problems. It reduces the stomach pain caused due to indigestion or constipation. The lotus plant is very useful and medicinal. Lotus flower helps to treat abdominal cramps and gastric ulcers. It is also very useful to treat jaundice, excessive menstruation and premature ejaculation. It contains astringent and cooling properties and thus help to relieve from many stomach related problems.

4. Ginger capsules: Ginger is a very useful herb to alienate any gastric problems. It naturally alienates intestinal gas flatulence because of undigested food. People often complain about bloating and abdominal cramps which occur because of the tension and spasm in their alimentary canals. Ginger tea gently relives trapped digestive gases and reduces the bloating. It is very helpful for digestion, it vitalizes digestion and is very helpful to comfort motion sickness and stomach cramps. Take one Ginger Capsule after a meal with warm water to gain maximum benefit. I know what you are thinking, another root coming handy, eh?

Sometimes, you get cramps due to lack of water in your body. Just remember to drink a lot of water everyday and keep yourself hydrated. If these home remedies do not alienate your stomach ache, it is advisable that you see a physician.
