5 Easy-to-make Organic Almond Face Packs

Did you know that almonds could help reduce dark circles and also lighten your skin? You are in for a pleasant surprise if you have not known the wonder of almonds in skin care.

Almonds are rich in Vitamin E, the vitamin which is essential for good skin health. It promotes better skin health by strengthening connective tissues and regenerating skin cells. Research has proven that topical application of Vitamin E and intake of Vitamin E greatly benefit skin health by rejuvenating and replenishing skin cells with essential nutrients. Unfortunately, vitamin E is not so readily available in most of the food substances we eat as part of a regular meal. That is when you need to remember that there are other vitamin-rich foods that you need to focus on. Almonds are one of the best examples that are rich in vitamin E and can also be used in skin care treatments and face packs easily.

Another splendid gift from almonds is the fact that they have anti-aging properties and strengthen skin tissues while thinning out fine lines and wrinkles. They make skin appear supple and soft. This is one of the underlying reasons for the fact that almonds have been used in many skin ointments and skin care products for many years.

Here are a few fun and easy ways to use almonds in your face packs. Each one has a benefit and the best part is that they can all be easily made with the things at home.

  1. Almond and papaya face scrub

Take four to five pieces of cut papaya and mash it with a fork or grind it. To this, add five drops of Essential Almond Oil and two tablespoons of green Gram Flour and mix well. To this, you can further add one tablespoon of yogurt and one tablespoon of Organic Honey and mix well. Apply this to your skin and allow it to remain for five minutes before you start scrubbing in circular motions.

Papaya is rich in antioxidants and helps to exfoliate the skin along with gram flour which also acts as a binder. Almond oil and yogurt help to soften and nourish the skin while honey tones the skin.

  1. Skin exfoliation face pack

Take two to four almonds and soak them in water for about half an hour. Add the almonds to two tablespoons of Oatmeal and boil in water for about three to four minutes. Once soft, you can simply grind the two together.

Alternatively, you can just soak two tablespoons of oat meal in hot water for about twenty minutes and add five drops of Essential Almond Oil to drained oats. To the mixture, add one tablespoon of Organic Honey and one tablespoon of plain yogurt. Mix well and apply to your scrubbed face.

Allow the face pack to remain until dry. Use warm water to wet the pack and rub in circular motions and slowly rinse completely. This face pack helps to open skin pores and makes your skin soft.

  1. Skin lightening face mask

Boil half a cup of milk by adding kesar pieces to it. Boil until the kesar starts colouring the milk and the milk turns pale yellow in colour. Now remove the milk from the stove and allow it to cool. To this, add five drops of Essential Almond Oil and mix well.

Apply this face mask at night and allow it to remain for five to ten minutes. You can then rinse with running water.

Almond oil nourishes the skin while milk and saffron lighten skin tone. This face mask also helps to reduce dark circles.

  1. Face pack for oily skin

For those who have oily skin, it is important that the excess sebum is removed from the skin in order to prevent bacterial infections and acne.

For this, take two tablespoons of multani mitti or fuller’s earth and add five drops of Essential Almond Oil. To this, add five drops of rose water and mix well to form an even paste. Apply this face pack on clean skin and allow it to remain for about ten minutes. Then, rinse in steps by adding water bit by bit, while massaging in circular motions.
