Whenever you feet yawning or tired you want usually some candy or coffee but don't look to a candy bar, cup of coffee, or energy drink for a lift. The sugar and caffeine might give you an energy, but after that quick high wears off, but you can go with chocolate because researchers found in cocoa have been shown to boost cognitive skills and improve mood.

Exercise is a natural energy booster, because whenever you do it, oxygen-rich blood surges through your body to your heart, muscles, and brain. In mid-afternoon urge to doze rolls around, hit the gym instead of the sack. Just 20 minutes outdoors is enough to feel more alive. A short stroll can invigorate the rest of your day, suggests research presented to the American Heart Association. . For an even bigger boost, walk outside for 20 minutes at least.

 

  • Green tea- If coffee is your go-to solution for the afternoon slump, try swapping out your cup of Joe for green tea. Green tea is great drink in all drinks. Green tea provides that quick pick-me-up by stimulating the central nervous system. Don't sweeten the pot. Adding sugar will spike your blood-sugar and lead you to crash in about an hour.

 

 

  • Eat nutritiously- Studies show omega-3 fatty acids improve mood and brain function, essential for avoiding a midday slump. However regular, healthy meals and snacks can improve cognitive function. Carbohydrates are broken down by your body and absorbed into the blood stream to provide energy. Improve your diet by eating foods rich in Omega 3 fatty-acids and magnesium, it improves energy.

 

  • Eat your breakfast- People who eat breakfast every morning report less fatigue and stress than people who skip it. Eating a morning meal rich in fiber may make you more alert during the day. If you're sitting for most of the day, try taking four 30-second breaks every hour and a 14-minute break after two hours. It provides fuel to keep you alert throughout the morning and wakes up your metabolism so never skip your breakfast.

 

        

  • Drinking water- Dehydration can leave you feeling drained and fatigued. Dehydration can cause everything from mental fogginess, impaired short-term memory, dizziness, and fatigue, she says. If you can't get outside during the day or there's very little daylight like- in winters consider purchasing a light box. These mimic the effects of daylight and can be used to lift energy.

 

  • Munch on pumpkin seeds - They contain a lot of magnesium, and research shows that too little of the mineral can sap your energy. Pumpkin seeds give instant energy.
