Enjoy Healthy Snacks with Corn Flakes Chat
Cornflakes are considered to be one of the healthiest snacks that kids can enjoy on a daily basis. They are a powerhouse of minerals and vitamins. Along with the many benefits comes the high fiber content that is essential to the human body. The chat version of cornflakes takes away the age old tradition of having cornflakes with milk. Not only does it make it spicy but the added ingredients give it a hint of the famous Indian flavor and tanginess to it.
INGREDIENTS:
♦ 1½ cup cornflakes
♦ 1 small tomato with the seeds removed and chopped
♦ 1 green chilies chopped
♦ Chilli powder
♦ Pepper powder
♦ 1 large soft date chopped and mashed or honey(optional, skip if you don’t like sweet tasting chat)
♦ 2 tablespoons (Finely chopped onions or as needed)
♦ Chat masala or amchur powder or cumin powder as needed
♦ Salt as needed
♦ 1 tablespoon of Coriander leaves chopped finely
♦ 1 tablespoon of melted ghee (Optional)
METHOD:
Add all the ingredients to a plate and mash everything well to release the moisture. You can leave it aside for a while. Add the cornflakes and mix everything well.
If you are going to use ghee then add the required amount of cumin powder to the chat mixture. Warm up the ghee and pour over the cumin powder. Toss everything well.
Serve it immediately and if needed you can sprinkle some lemon juice for extra tanginess.
