If your family is one of those people who demands sweet in the morning for breakfast and you worry about their health issues as in what would happen if they eat sweet every day (thinking all sweets are bad) I have a recipe for you. This recipe contains all the good things in the world! It contains chia seeds, green tea, coconut milk, and for sweet… sugar would ruin all the healthy benefits of this recipe! If this is what you are thinking, you are wrong! To sweeten the recipe, we have honey. Sounds great right? Don’t worry if your family is not fond of honey, if you don’t make this recipe in front of them, they would never know that this recipe contains honey. Trust me. This recipe is really very healthy and even if you feed your family with it every day, for breakfast, you don’t have to fret about its ill effects on their health, because there are none. I call it chia chai custard (because I love tongue twisters) you can call it anything else you want, like green tea chai pudding if you are fond of fancy names! Anyhow, without taking much of your time, I will now take you through the ingredients and recipe.

Tips/Remarks

It is important to stir the chia seeds again and again because this prevents from forming chia seed lumps in the milk. So the more you stir, the better your recipe will be.

You can replace the coconut milk with almond milk, soy milk or even regular milk.

The coconut shreds can be of any shape and size. You can use freshly grated coconut, dry coconut or even coconut powder.

You can also mix green tea in coconut water and then add it to the coconut milk mixture.

You can use any other flavoured green tea as well.

Try making this recipe once, even your kids will have fun eating it. They will try to pull the slippery and gooey chia seeds through their teeth and enjoy eating every single spoon. The best part of this recipe is apart from being guilt free it is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and other nutrients. Now give me a reason not to make this for your family every day?
