 Sesame Milk

You can get the best benefits by soaking the sesame seeds in water overnight and have it along with the soaked water in the morning, in empty stomach.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of organic sesame seeds
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 tablespoon of organic raw honey
  • 1/8 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt

Procedure:

  • Soak the organic sesame seeds overnight in water.
  • Rinse and drain them well using a muslin or cheese cloth.
  • Put the rinsed seeds into the food processor or blender.
  • Add the honey, salt and add 4 cups of water in a blender.
  • Blend well until the seeds have broken up and the water has turned to a milky white colour.
  • Take a bowl and place the strainer over it.
  • Place the muslin cloth in the strainer and pour the mixture through it.
  • With the help of a spoon press the pulp in order to extract the maximum amount of milk.
  • Pour the strained milk into a glass bottle and store it in the fridge.
  • You can store it in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • You can use the leftover sesame seed pulp to make fibre-rich chunky chocolate cookies.
