Ingredients
- 4 cups cornflakes
- 1 tablespoon organic sesame oil
- 2 tablespoon organic Almonds slivered
- 1 tablespoon peanuts
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon dried mixed herb seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Paprika/Cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Heat sesame oil in a pan on low heat.
- Add the slivered almonds and peanuts, toast for a minute. Remove and keep aside.
- Take the corn flakes in a mixing bowl; add in the toasted almonds and peanuts followed by raisins, paprika, salt and herbal seasonings.
- Mix well to combine all the ingredients and spices.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Store in an airtight container.
Serving Suggestions:
Add a spoon of toasted organic pumpkin seed to this mixture, to make it more nutritious. Pack it in paper cups for an easy on-the-go snack. If you are serving immediately, you can also add finely chopped cucumber, tomato, onions and cilantro for a more filling and healthy snack. If you find paprika or cayenne pepper too hot, you can substitute pepper.
