Watermelon Slush

WATERMELON SLUSH

Heat can dehydrate the body and just drinking water does not replace the electrolytes lost through sweat. It’s important to incorporate fruits in the diet which are high in water content and rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Watermelon is one such fruit. With 92% water content, watermelon is naturally sweet and packed with the goodness of Vitamin C, potassium, lycopene, citrulline and many other flavonoids. It helps reduce body fat, aids cardiovascular and bone health and kidney functioning and has many antioxidant properties. Abundantly found in India, watermelon not only helps hydrate the body but is naturally refreshing and cools the body. Watermelon can be enjoyed on its own, added to fruit salads, made in to juice or enjoyed as an icy slush. This recipe can be easily made at home and enjoyed by all age groups.
