Double chin surely takes away all the beauty from your face, making you look fat and bloated. You try all sorts of high necks and scarves to hide it. Also, you pose in front of the camera in a manner that the flab is not visible.

There’s no denying the fact that a double chin appears due to excess fat in the body. Overweight people are most likely to suffer from it. Another factor responsible for appearance of double chin in age. As you age the skin loses its elasticity and results in sagging.

There are several surgical methods for getting rid of double chin but they are both expensive and come with their own side effects. One can reduce the flab or fat on the double chin through several home remedies too. Let us take a look at a few of them.

  1. Wheat Germ Oil

A daily massage with wheat germ oil is an effective way to reduce double chin flab. This is because wheat germ oil contains the vitamin E, which is a nourishing agent and helps in tightening of the skin too.

All you need to do is massage the neck area gently with this oil before hitting the bed. Make sure you massage the skin in upward direction starting from the neck and going up towards the chin. Do it for about 15 minutes. After massaging, let the oil get absorbed in your skin for the entire night. Incorporate this exercise in your daily beauty regime for best results.

  1. Green Tea

Green tea is the best remedy for all skin and health related woes.  Green tea basically consists of antioxidants that boost the speed of metabolism. Once the metabolic rate gets on track, it soothes the bowel movement, which further leads to loss in weight. Basically antioxidants help in faster burning of calories.

So, consume at least two cups of green tea in a day. All the more, this herbal drink is available in various flavors for you to choose.

  1. Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an essential ingredient needed to make the skin look and stay young forever. So, its daily dose s a must. Vitamin E basically boosts the elasticity of the skin, thus making it look a bit firmer.

Some of the common sources of vitamin E are green leafy vegetables, wheat germ oil, brown rice, dairy products, barley, nuts, legumes, soybeans and peanuts. Including these foods in your daily diet can help in skin tightening and reducing the appearance of double chin. Once can also opt for vitamin E supplements. However, do consult a doctor before taking it.

  1. Melon

Melons are also helpful in reducing the appearance of double chin. All you need to do is extract some juice of a fresh melon. Now take a cotton ball and dip it in this juice. Apply it on your neck and then, allow it to dry. Later rinse off with normal water. For better results, mix some apple juice in melon juice as well. Do not forget to massage your skin with this liquid after its application.

Besides, eating melons daily can also help. It is extremely high in water content, which further boosts digestion and further aiding weight loss. Also, water content flushes out fat causing bad toxins from the body.

  1. Milk

Massaging the skin with some milk also helps in its tightening. This way it reduces the appearance of double chin. Moreover, milk ensures a soft, smooth and radiant skin.

All you need is some raw milk. Apply it on your chin area and then, massage for a few minutes. Afterwards, rinse well with lukewarm water. Do it a couple of times in a day till the sagging chin vanishes completely.

Try another remedy with milk by mixing it with some honey. Apply this concoction all over your face and neck area, focusing on the chin. Allow the mask to dry and then, wash off with warm water. Repeat it at least once in a day.
