Sugar and Lemon
To make this scrub, mix some sugar with juice of one lemon. Mix well and then gently scrub off your facial hair in the direction of hair growth. After 15 minutes, rinse off well with cold water. Sugar is an exfoliating substance while lemon has astringent properties.
Ubtan is generally applied during pre-bridal sessions to make a bride look beautiful and glowing. To make it, mix together a spoon of besan, turmeric powder, milk and rose water to get a smooth paste. Sub your chin and cheeks with this scrub for a few minutes. Later, wash off with normal water.
Besides, sugar, salt is a popular scrub ingredient. Make a salt based scrub by mixing some turmeric, salt, milk and lemon juice. Salt is a great exfoliating agent and therefore, quite effective in removing unwanted hair. Apply this scrub twice a week for promising results.
- Homemade Wax
You can also prepare some wax at home to take off unwanted hair sans any side effect. To prepare this cold wax, take two cups of sugar and about one-fourth cup of lemon juice. Add them to half a cup of water. Heat this concoction on slow flame until the mixture turns thick and brown in color. Keep stirring occasionally. Let the mixture cool down. When you plan to wax your chin area, just dust some powder and then apply the wax with a wooden spatula type stick. Then place a wax strip and then pull off in the opposite direction of hair growth. Apply some ice immediately after this procedure.
