- Absorbs excess oil from skin
This superb ingredient is really helpful in absorbing excess oil from the face. It further helps in unclogging the skin pores and maintaining the pH balance of skin. To use it, all you need to do is mix equal portions of fuller’s earth, sandalwood powder and rose water. Apply this paste on your face and leave it until it dries up. Later wash off with lukewarm water. If you have an oily skin or severe acne breakouts, apply it at least thrice a week.
- Removes marks
Multani mitti is also helpful in doing away with marks, and burn and wound scars. To treat them, take equal quantity of multani mitti, carrot pulp and olive oil in a bowl. Mix well and then apply this mixture on the patches. Allow it to stay for about 15 minutes and then, rinse well. Repeat this at least twice a week. A regular application of this concoction will eventually help you in fading away your scars.

Fuller’s earth also acts as a skin lightening agent, thus making your skin look fair and glowing. To get a radiant skin, take two tablespoons of multani mitti and curd each. Mix well and apply it on your face and neck area. Let it stay for about half an hour. Later rinse off. This paste can also be applied on arms and legs or tanned skin.

Owing to its oil absorption property, fuller’s earth is really helpful in treating acne. It opens up clogged skin pores, which are the main culprits behind acne breakouts. To treat pimples, just mix two spoons of fuller’s earth, one spoon of neem leaves’ paste, pinch of camphor and rose water. Mix all the ingredients to form a smooth paste. Apply it on the affected area and let it dry. Later, wash your face with tap water. Apply this mask at least once a week for promising results.
- Improves skin’s elasticity
Once you start ageing, your skin also shows similar signs. Wrinkles, fine lines and blemishes begin to appear. Also, the skin starts sagging, thus losing its elasticity. So, if you wish to maintain the tightness of your skin, use fuller’s earth. For this, add one tablespoon of fuller’s earth, honey and glycerine each in a bowl. Mix well to form a smooth paste. Then add one egg white to this mixture. Again, mix well and then apply it on to your face and neck area. Let it stay till it dries up. Ensure that you do not speak till the pack stays on your face. Later, wash your face with warm water. Do it at least once a week for best results.
- Treats dandruff
Just like the skin, fuller’s earth takes away all the oil and dirt from the hair as well. This further helps in keeping dandruff at bay. Moreover, multani mitti boosts blood circulation in the scalp, thus keeping it free from flakes. To make a hair mask, mix equal portions of fuller’s earth and orange peel powder. Then apply it on your scalp and tresses. Apply it on your scalp and hair. Allow it to stay on your hair and later, wash off with a mild shampoo. A weekly treatment of this mask is a must for curing dandruff.
