No matter how well we take care of our skin with herbal products but at the end of the day, we have to apply commercial cosmetics for makeup. Over-the-counter products have myriad chemicals, which may harm our skin. So, making them at home is a great option. We bring to you a few methods, through which you can make makeup products naturally at home. Have a look. Just apply them and flaunt your natural look with great élan.

  1. Natural Mascara

This surely makes your eyelashes look dark and thick, thus making your eyes look beautiful. For this, take a small bowl and add a few drops of aloe vera gel. Add some drops of vitamin E oil and a little of activated charcoal. Mix well and store in an old mascara bottle. Make sure you wash the brush properly before use.

  1. Face moisturizer

Honey is a great skin nourisher, which makes the skin soft and supple. All you need to do is take a few drops of honey on your finger tips and then, massage all over your wet face. Let it dry and then rinse off. Honey reduces fine lines and provides glow to the face.

  1. For Dry Elbows

If you have dry elbows, do not apply commercial moisturizer. Just cut half a lemon and rub it off. Once it dies, rinse off well. Wipe it off with a soft towel and then, dab some olive oil. Do it once in a day for promising results.

  1. Natural Foundation

All you need is two tablespoons of zinc oxide, one spoon of arrarot powder, one teaspoon of gold mica dust, half table spoon of fuller’s earth and one teaspoon of cocoa powder. Just mix all the ingredients to get your natural foundation. However, the quantity of cocoa powder should be directly proportional to your skin tone. Just store it in an old foundation box and apply it with a makeup brush whenever you go out.

  1. Natural Blush

Just like foundation, a blush or bronzer can be easily made at home with the help of arrarot. Take some arrarot and start adding cocoa and cinnamon powder to it till it matches your skin tone. If you wish to give it a pink tone, you can either add powder of dried beetroot or dried hibiscus flowers.

  1. Natural Eye Liner

For this, mix equal proportions of shea butter and coconut oil. Then add half teaspoon of activated charcoal. Mix well and store it in a container. This eyeliner gives a dark black colour and is even thick in texture. For a brown shade, add cocoa powder instead of charcoal.

  1. Makeup Remover

Well, we do not need to prepare any concoction for this. Olive oil is quite self sufficient. Just dab some olive oil on your face with cotton ball to remove all the makeup. It nourishes your skin as well.

  1. Anti-dandruff treatment

Again, just one solution is enough and that is apple cider vinegar. Just spray it on your scalp and leave it for some time. Then rinse off with a mild shampoo.

  1. Hairspray

The way gelatine sets any dish when added to it, it does the same to your hair. For this, you need to add one teaspoon of gelatine in one cup of boiled water. Mix well and store in a spray bottle. As it solidifies, just keep the bottle in a warm water container for some time before use.

    10. Lip Balm

For this, you need to take one-fourth cup of grated beeswax, three tablespoons of coconut oil, one tablespoon of almond oil and two tablespoons of cocoa butter. Just mix all the ingredients well and store in small and handy containers. Your lip balm is ready for use.
