The eyes are usually the first thing that people notice about you. And when decked up beautifully with kajal, they are irresistible. Kajal has been a part of our culture since centuries. Made with age-old techniques, it has been used to enhance the eyes through many generations. A single stroke of kajal can magically transform your look and define your eyes as you please. Even if you don’t wear any makeup, darkening or contouring the eyes with a little bit of Organic Kajal is enough to get heads turning.

There are many numbers of styles you can try with kajal, and here are some of our favourite ones!

Basic Waterline

This is the simplest, no frills style of applying kajal. All you need to do is gently pull down the bottom lid of your eyes and carefully draw a stroke of kajal along your waterline from the inner corner towards the outer. Draw a single stroke if you want a delicate line of kajal or you can go over the waterline a few times to darken the effect as you like.

Eyeliner

For a more sophisticated look, use the kajal as an eyeliner and draw a line along your lash line on the upper eyelid. This look works wonderfully with formal wear or as a minimalist makeup style with evening wear.

Smokey Eyes

The smokey eye is a hot favourite among the youth of today. All you need to do is apply the kajal on the lower waterline as well as on the upper eyelid. Draw the lower stroke as per the intensity you desire and just add a smidge on the upper lid. Now, using a makeup blending brush just lightly dab the kajal on the eyelid and blend it for a smudged look. If you don’t have a brush, you can even blend it with your ring finger. Redo this a few times till the part of the eyelid closest to the eyelashes is darker and becomes progressively lighter as you move up towards the bottom curve of your eyebrow.

Tightline

Tightlining can be a little tricky to start with and you may need some practice. In this technique instead of applying the kajal on the upper eyelid near the lashes, you line it on the inside at the upper waterline. Similarly, as is with the basic style you also draw a stroke along the lower waterline. This is a fantastic look if you want your eyes to pop without making the kajal look too dark.

Winged Liner

Winged liner is a technique where you add a slight flick at the outer corner of the eye to create a dramatic effect. After applying kajal as eyeliner, extend the line a little past the eye upwards toward the temple. Now connect the end of the line to the inner corner of the eyelid in a single stroke. Fill in the space to darken it and you can flaunt your pretty peepers.

Benefits Of Organic Kajal

Now a days, many cosmetic brands are using adulterated products or harsh chemicals in their production of kajal to make it appear darker. These chemicals can have harmful effects of your skin and can even lead to eye infections in certain cases. It’s important that you avoid using such products which could have adverse effects on your health.

Organic kajals on the other hand are made using natural herbs and vegetable extracts. These ingredients are not harmful to the skin and can also help to maintain clear vision. In fact, organic kajals have a mild and purifying effect on the eyes due to the herbal components. Certain organic kajals also contain camphor and almond oil which have a very soothing and cooling effect on the eyes and can actually make you feel more relaxed.

All in all, kajal is a great little addition to your makeup kit, and an organic one is your best bet. So even if you need to rush out to a party, just one stroke of this handy product can work wonders for your look.
