There are various options of foods for your newborn. With so many options, it can be a bit little hard to make sure that your baby is getting the best food items for them to develop a healthy and immune system. Blueberries

You can cook it with mixed veggies like basil and oregano. Missing lentils with bay leafs are also a good option. But make sure to remove the bay before you serve the food to your infant.

Leafy greens

Leafy greens have a huge nutrient count. It has a very high amount of iron and folate in it. One of the best leafy greens you can go for is Spinach since the amount of iron in it is exceptionally high. Iron helps in maintain a healthy blood flow for the baby. There are also other options like Chard, kale and collard greens. You can steam or puree the entire batch of vegetable and mix with organic cereal to provide your baby with a complete dosage of iron. Try to maintain a proportion of two parts veggies to one part cereal.

Broccoli

Few food choices are as good as broccoli for your baby. It is filled with a variety of nutrients which will help your baby grow in multiple ways. It has a healthy dosage of folate and fibre which helps in maintain a healthy digestive tract as well as a healthy immune system. Its high calcium content is also great for the strong growth of bone and teeth. In addition to everything it also has very high cancer-fighting properties. Its sulphur compounds tend to improve the baby’s taste buds.

Avocados

One of the best sources of unsaturated fats Avocados is really nice for a source of healthy fat. The fat composition in Avocado is very much similar to that of breast milk. Unsaturated fat is good for your baby although many people do not know about it. Unsaturated fat helps in the baby’s brain development. It is a great choice of food for the baby’s first year.

Meat

Meat is a huge source of zinc and iron. Meat stew can be a great source of nutrient for the baby. It can help in better blood flow and also certain amounts of calcium in meat make for great bone and teeth development. Mix it up with veggies and this is one dish that your infant will love to eat. Just boil the meat long enough so that it is soft and make sure that it is also torn up properly before you feed it to your baby.

There are not exactly a lot of infant foods to avoid. Ones which you should avoid are the chemically enhanced ones. Avoid feeding your baby anything spicy and make sure you continue your infant formula well in the first few months. Infant feeding is not a tricky matter once you know what you should feed your baby.
