However, it is helpful in those people who suffer from mild symptoms. Owing to is drowsy and sedative effect, it induces sleep and relaxes the mind.

All you need to do is drink chamomile tea regularly. Just dip a chamomile tea bag in a cup of hot water. After a few minutes, remove the bag and stir in a spoon of honey. Drink it at least two times in a day.

To use it, just boil two cups of water and then pour in a few drops of lavender oil into it. Inhale the steam of this lavender-infused hot water.

Try another concoction by mixing four drops of lavender essential oil and one teaspoon of almond or olive oil together. Massage your neck, shoulders and back with this mixture. Do it at least thrice a week for quick relief.

The fragrance of both orange and orange peels can calm your nerves. Besides, researches have concluded that citrus smells are good for fighting depression and boosting immunity.

Just peel an orange and inhale its aroma to lift up your mod. Also, you can boil a few orange peels in a pan and then, inhale its steam. This will surely relax your mind.

Drinking orange juice can also help. Just add a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of nutmeg powder to enhance its flavor. Make sure you consume this juice daily.

Rosemary is also an excellent herb for treating anxiety. It provides a calming effect on your mind. Besides, it ensures good circulation, relaxes muscles and boosts memory and alertness.

Drink at least two cups of rosemary tea daily. To make it, add two teaspoons of dried rosemary herb in one cup of hot water. Strain it after five minutes and then, consume it. Using rosemary air freshener or incense sticks at your workplace or home can also ease your stress and anxiety.

  1. Lemon Balm

Lemon balm is known to work both as a mild relaxant and nerve tonic. That is why it is often used for reducing anxiety, improving sleep and boosting appetite. It is generally combined with other herbs, such as green tea, lavender and catnip.

All you need to do is add a teaspoon of dried lemon balm in hot water for a few minutes. Make sure it is covered properly so that the aroma does not escape. Once it becomes a little lukewarm, consume this cup of this tea before hitting the bed. Drink it daily for about two weeks. Make sure that you do not consume it for more than two weeks at a time.
