Anxiety and stress are serious psychological disorders that should not be taken lightly. These are often perceived as being ‘normal’, something that everyone has, and are therefore are not given much attention. However, these problems have the capacity to even kill you. They slowly and steadily, so that you become used to these, damage your health and keep on deteriorating your well-being.

Anxiety is the feeling of being ‘worried’ about something or the other all the time. Anxiety can stay with you all the time, so that you are worried for the entire day, or can suddenly, be activated by a stimulant, leading to panic attacks, which can even lead to fits and death. Anxiety leads to high blood pressure, sweating, dizziness, being confused, being indecisive, sleeplessness, and can eventually lead to death.

Stress is again a feeling of being worried about something. Stress which helps you do something, like studying for an exam, is seen as helpful and good, and is therefore called ‘Eustress’. However, too much stress, which doesn’t help but affects your performance negatively and impacts your well being, is called Distress.

Anxiety and stress slowly eat you from the inside and cause the immune system to shut down, an increased susceptibility to diseases and a reduction in white blood cells.

There are many ways to reduce stress and anxiety. Here are some:

  1. Massage

Get a proper massage with oils and creams to regulate the blood flow in your body and feel good.

  1. Sleep

To rid yourself of these evils, get proper sleep of up to 8 hours, so that your mind and body can take rest.

  1. Avoid Caffeine

Caffeine causes high blood pressure and causes you not to sleep properly. Avoid it and have caffeine free products.

  1. Meditation

This one is a no-brainer. Meditation leads to peace of mind and clear thinking. It helps in thinking creatively and reduces stress and anxiety, along with their symptoms like high blood pressure, dizziness, indecisiveness, sweating etc. and helps in calm breathing.  It is therefore very important to meditate

  1. Take psychological help

It is extremely important to not ignore and ward off these symptoms of anxiety and stress. These, as mentioned earlier, are very dangerous and serious. Take help from a professional as soon as the symptoms surface!

Follow these steps and lead a stress free life!
