According to Caryn Solie, RDH, president of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, “Dental care should begin as soon as a child’s first tooth appears, usually around six months.” Further he advises, “Teeth can be wiped with a clean, damp cloth or a very soft brush. At about age 2, you can let kids try brushing for themselves -- although it’s important to supervise.”
To have a radiant Smile is a dream of every individual, but what changes it into an artificial one is discoloration. However teeth discoloration is a part of natural aging process yet it is so embracing to have yellow smile. No one would ever like to have a yellow smile. Especially people who seek for perfection are always overly- concerned about their physical appearance and get attracted towards the perfect appearance of their favorite celebrities… Am I right? And I feel there is nothing wrong in it. If you are one of those then probably you get allured by everything that comes in the list of perfection. Owing to yellow teeth we always try to hide our laughs, and settle down ourselves with brittle smile.
Here I have got something for you all…yes! I have some home remedies that can actually get a beautiful & brightening smile. Have a look-
Baking soda & lemon- This is one of the most popular and oldest home remedies to whiten teeth naturally. Citrus of lemon juice and chemical reaction of baking soda have the smile-brightening effect. These two ingredients work well separately as well but together they perform wonder and are super-effective. Only brushing with this solution once in a week is enough to get you uneasy smile.
Dr. Oz suggests, mix a little bit of soda and fresh lemon juice in a bowl, wipe saliva and excess plaque with the help of cotton swab from your teeth before brushing on the mixture. Leave the mixture on your teeth for a minute before brushing it off with toothbrush. Don’t leave the mixture on your teeth for more than a minute as acid can erode tooth enamel.
Strawberries- It is evidence based remedy for whitening teeth naturally. Strawberries are enriched with an enzyme known as a malic acid & vitamin C. Astringent properties found in strawberries aid to remove surface stains whereas vitamin C cleanses the excess plaque.
Flossing- Many dentist and hygienists accept & agree with the fact that flossing has more importance than brushing. Flossing is one of the effective teeth-saving remedies. Flossing twice a day can smoothly diminish the stains between your teeth and help them to look whiter than ever before.
Organic mustard oil- Oil pulling is one of the oldest Indian remedies used for oral health care. This is the most simplest and inexpensive remedy being practiced since ancient time to improve overall oral health.
