Soy is rich in flavonoids that help keep the skin fresh and supple. These are essential components that are needed along with amino acids for forming new cells and keeping skin healthy.

Here are some very interesting homemade facial treatments that you can do with Soy!

  1. Facial scrub

Soy yogurt can be used at home to make a useful facial scrub that can be used every day. Take around five to six almonds and grind them well. In a separate vessel, take one cup of water and boil it. Once boiled, add two tablespoons of oatmeal and cook well. Once cooked, take the oat meal and once cooled, blend it with the almond pieces. To this, add two tablespoons of soy yogurt and mix well to form a scrub. Remember that when you blend these together you do not want a very smooth paste as it needs to be effective as a scrub.

You can apply this mixture to your skin and scrub well in circular motions for about two to three minutes before rinsing with warm water. Pure Almond Oil can also be used to substitute almonds if you don’t have them readily at home. Almond oil is rich in nutrients and also helps to moisturize skin. Oatmeal exfoliates skin and functions as a scrub.

  1. Skin restoration mask

Our skin undergoes a lot of damage due to exposure to sun, chemicals and pollution. This cannot be undone without using synthetic soaps that often remove essential oils and amino acids from our skin. For this purpose, black Soy bean has been used in Chinese beauty treatments since olden times.

To make your own skin restoration face mask, soak one cup of black soy beans overnight in water. Grind them well in the morning and add four to five drops of Wheatgerm Oil. Add one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of Natural Sugar and mix well. You can apply this to your face and allow it to stay for ten minutes. Then you can scrub well and rinse with plain milk and then with warm water. Now, take a small piece of cotton and soak it in five to six drops of rose water and dab your skin with it. This tones your skin. This face mask is best done for night care in the evening before you retire. This procedure can be repeated 2-3 times in a week to undo damage due to sun exposure.

  1. Moisturizing face pack

Soy is very useful as a skin moisturizer that works wonders for dry skin. It helps restore moisture content and balance in skin. It can be used in many recipes to moisturize skin and make it supple.

To make your own organic soy facial, take two tablespoons of soy yogurt. To this, you can add one tablespoon of milk cream or one tablespoon of ground avocado paste. Mix these together well and add half a tablespoon of honey. You will have a thick paste that might almost look inviting to eat. On washed and dry face, apply this mixture lavishly and allow it to stay for at least about fifteen to twenty minutes. After this, you can rinse it with cold water. Soy and avocado combination works best to moisturize dry skin while Organic Honey acts as skin toner.
