“To feel good from your head to your feet, keep a healthy heart beat.”

Heart keeps on pumping blood round the body without any failure. And, thus blood pressure becomes a crucial tool in determining one’s health.

The ideal blood pressure should lie between 80 and 120. If your blood pressure falls somewhere in between the two, then you are fortunate enough to be at a lower risk of heart attacks and stroke.

And if that’s not the case with you, then you may be suffering from the following conditions:

  • High Blood pressure
  • Low blood pressure

High blood pressure (hypertension):

If your blood pressure levels continue to be 140 over 90 mm/hg for a couple of weeks, then you have a high blood pressure. If this extra strain continues for a long time then:

  • You lie at a higher risk of a heart attack or a stroke.
  • High blood pressure can also adversely result in heart and cancer diseases, and is linked to some forms of dementia.

Low blood pressure (hypotension):

If your blood pressure level is below 90-60 mm/hg, then you have a low blood pressure.Low blood pressure is not a big health concern. However, it should be treated if low blood pressure levels continue.

Unhealthy eating habits and lifestyle leads to the above conditions. And both of these can prove to be highly dangerous for our body. However, by incorporating some simple changes these conditions can be avoided and you can have a healthy heart.

Some tips for a healthy heart diet:

  • Eat less salt:

Cut down on salt. Don’t add salt while cooking or try to keep it to a minimal level. This is entirely your call. You can also opt for low sodium salt.Guggul is a gum resin and offers cholesterol support.
