After suffering at the cost of sun damage and pollution, your hair just demands some special attention and care. A head massage, nourishing mask and maybe a luxurious hair spa. But let’s face it, it’s not always possible to head to a spa and treat yourself to a lavish therapy which will burn a hole in your pocket. So instead of blowing up your latest pay check, we have some amazing ideas for hair masks you can make right at home using a combination of ingredients and Organic Hair Oils.

Take a look at how simple it is to give yourself a hair spa from the comfort of your own home.

  1. Olive Oil Mask To Treat Dry Hair

Dry hair can be very bothersome and difficult to manage. Regularly applying oil is a good solution, but it’s not always enough. Prepare a hair mask using olive oil and egg protein to improve the growth and conditioning of your hair. It has a high moisturizing quality which nourishes the hair from scalp to tip and helps remove roughness and dryness. To prepare the mask mix 4 to 5 spoonfuls of olive oil with two egg whites. Add a spoonful of honey to the preparation and mix it well. Apply this mixture all over the hair and scalp and cover your head with a towel or a shower cap. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then shampoo and condition as usual.

  1. Tulsi Oil Mask To Prevent Hair Loss

Hair loss is a tough problem to deal with. Waking up to strands of hair spread out on your pillow every morning is quite a painful sight. The way to combat this is by using a hair mask made with tulsi oil. Tulsi is known for its use in Ayurvedic treatments to prevent hair loss. To make the mask, warm up some tulsi oil in a bowl and add a spoonful of cinnamon powder and honey. Mix it well and apply the preparation to your scalp. Wrap your head with a towel and wash it off after 30 minutes to remove the oil. Apply this mask once a week to help with reducing hair loss.

  1. Amla Oil Mask For Nourishing Hair

Amla oil is high in Vitamin C content and its rich texture makes it very easy for the oil to seep deep into the scalp and nourish hair from the roots. Avocado too is rich in Vitamin E and proteins and is known to soften and condition the hair. To make this hair mask mash up a ripe avocado after removing the skin, and add 2 to 3 spoonfuls of Amla oil. Lastly, add a dollop of honey and blend it all together till it forms a smooth paste. Massage this mixture through your hair and apply generously on the scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and let your hair air dry. Apply this mask twice a month to start seeing excellent results.

  1. Mixed Oil Hair Mask

One cannot argue the benefits of regularly oiling hair; grandma was always right about the importance of an oil massage. But what can be better than a regular oil massage? A multi-oil hair mask. This hair mask uses a combination of various oils with different benefits mixed with mashed bananas and honey. You can use herb oils such as neem oil or bhringaraj oil, or pick from one of the mixed oils available. Take 3 to 4 spoonfuls of the oil of your choice and add another few spoonfuls of coconut oil to it. Finally mix in the mashed bananas and honey and apply it all over the length of your hair. Use a wide toothed comb and brush your hair so that the mixture spreads evenly along the hair shaft. Let it settle for 15 minutes and then wash it off as usual.

Just a combination of some vitalising ingredients and nourishing hair oils and voila, you can start up your own hair spa therapies at home. Apply the hair masks regularly and watch your hair transform before your eyes.
