Although there are many remedies which can be taken up to fight acne, the best remedy to treat your acne is with natural acne remedies. Natural remedies ensure that while the condition is treated, your general health is not affected by any chemicals that are a part of products generally available in the market.
Apple Cider Vinegar to Combat Acne
This is a powerful anti-acne remedy, killing all the bacteria which are the cause of acne in the first place. It balances the pH of the skin by turning alkaline. This is turn makes it hard for the bacteria to survive in that environment. It also helps dry off the excess oil as it is an astringent.
Make a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. With a cotton ball, apply this mixture on the affected spots, leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash off thoroughly. If you feel your skin has become dry, use a moisturizer. Repeat this process several times a day.
Use Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is the wonder oil, beneficial for both our skin as well as our health. It is antibacterial and antifungal and helps to fight bacteria and also reduce the redness that comes with acne. It is also a great Moisturizer which moisturizes your skin without clogging the pores. So, when you use coconut oil on your skin, it does not need any other moisturizer.
Apply coconut oil on your skin and massage the skin gently. Do it twice a day for optimal benefit.
Egg Whites Mask
Don’t be surprised but egg whites make a wonderful natural remedy for treating acne. Egg whites are rich in protein and vitamins which combat the acne and at the same time help rebuild the cells of the skin. They draw out the impurities and reduce the oil, the sebum in your skin on which the bacteria feeds.
Take 2 – 3 egg whites, whisk them until frothy and apply it on your face with your fingertips, especially on the acne. Wait for some time till it dries off and then apply a second layer. Spread 3 – 4 layers and let the mask sit on your face for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and apply a moisturizer.
Tree Tea Oil against Acne
Tree tea oil is a very common ingredient used for skin care. The tree tea oil is in no way like the oil produced by your skin. In fact, it acts more like a solvent which moves through the dead skin cells and the extra Sebum to the blocked pores and opens them. The antibacterial properties of this oil help kill the bacteria responsible for the acnes. It is a topical oil only and not for consumption. Ensure that you have diluted the oil before using it.
Mix 1 part tea tree oil with 9 parts water. Apply this mixture onto your acne with a cotton swab. Wash off your face after sometime and apply a moisturizer. For those with sensitive skin, replace water with aloe vera gel.
