No matter how much precaution you take, you have got to deal with stains on your clothes or bed sheets frequently. Removing stains feels like a sturdy job but it can be made easy using the organic way.

You can get stains from dyes, spilling of oil or a beverage or accidentally dropping ketchup. Some stains go easily and some require treatments. Removing stains is easy if you know what kind of method you would need to remove a particular stain. Different stains have different removal techniques. Here is a simple classification of some of the common stains:

Oil-based/greasy stains: This is the most commonly found stain. Oil stains can come out of car grease, hair oil, machine oil etc. They are sticky and seem hard to remove. But surprisingly, there are more methods to remove oil stains than you can think of. Some of them are:

  • Vinegar: It has strong astringent properties. Soak the stain area in vinegar and then scrub it gently. And then air-dry the cloth.

  • Lemon: It is a good bleaching agent. Simply apply lemon juice to the stain area and then rub it. Allow the cloth to dry and then wash with clean water.
  • Baking Soda: Sprinkle some baking soda on the stain and watch it change its colour to brown. This means that the oil is absorbed. Scrape off this layer and sprinkle some more until all the oil is absorbed. And then wash with normal water and the stain goes away.

Dye stains: Dye stains can prove very stubborn. They should be first treated with any organic stain remover or apply liquid detergents or a strong detergent on them and then wash with clean water.

Protein-based Stains: These are generally caused by cream-based food. Consider yourself lucky if the stain is fresh because all it takes for the stain to vanish is cold water. Do not use hot water or it will never go away.

For an old stain, you need to soak the cloth with liquid detergent for like an hour and then toss it into your washing machine and do the normal laundry.

Stain removal seems quite a headache but with little patience and some simple tricks it is not that tough. Removing the stain the organic way is lot faster than other methods. To know more about the products JBN has for you click here.
