The greatest wealth is health. A healthy body needs healthy food. We have all been raised listening and more of than not using these quotes but most of us fail when it comes to the application of the same. A healthy body can do hundreds of work as opposed to a sick one. And the best way to attain it is through intake of healthy food.

Overweight or underweight both situations warrant special attentions.

The problem of excess weight can be solved by:

  • Eating less
  • Exercising more.

Eating less need not only mean cutting down ones intake of food. It means to eat at proper intervals and to eat healthy food. Organic food is one way to provide oneself with healthy food.

Why Organic?

Prior researches from renowned Universities found that on average, organic fruits and vegetables contain 12 percent more healthy plant compounds – resveratrol and other polyphenols, for example – than conventionally grown produce i.e. the non-organic produce or the produce from the use of pesticides.
What’s more, another research suggests that flavones, one of these beneficial plant compounds, helps in stabilizing blood sugar levels, helping to keep appetite in check, while resveratrol (as earlier mentioned), has been shown to promote fullness. The use of pesticide is one of prominent reasons for the reduced level of resveratrol in the conventional produce.

All conventional products that we buy from the market place are not in the same condition when they ripe in the fields. These products are added with artifices to make them look healthier than they actually are. Simple sugars and starches help conventional produce oftentimes to be sweeter and juicier. It is the ancillary use of vitamin oxidant that helps it do the same as well.

Some Organic Products to start with:

Eating foods that lower insulin levels is advised when one is looking forward to or aiming to lose weight. A rise in insulin turns the body such that the body starts storing fats.

  • Beans: Beans are the perfect/ complete food. They provide almost complete nutrition and are a great meat substitute for the vegetarians. These low fat beans come in numerous types to meet anyone’s fancy.

Moreover like above mentioned produce, apples don’t shoot up insulin levels like some other fruits.

The high-calcium in the food can contribute to weight loss. Broccolis’ are full of antioxidants that provide a large number of health benefits including decreasing the risk of heart disease and certain cancers along with loss of weight.
  • Lemons: Lemon is one popular for being a simulative for the body’s digestive system. Because of it being rich in citric acid, lemons work with other acids and enzymes for healthy and effective digestion by stimulating stomach juices. The acidity of lemon juice can improve your digestion and balance blood sugar levels from a meal (this is why lemon is a popular flavor in products like Eno, Hajmola, etc). Seasoning meals with some lemon juice boosts our digestion along with adding taste to the food. Proper digestion aids not only for weight loss but is also important for overall health and longevity.
