The pesticides that are present in the coffee beans are enough to kill a person when consumed over long periods of time. This is reason why people have actually started preferring organic coffee.

Organic coffee nowadays is better than the usual one because these coffee plants are grown in natural climatic conditions without using any pesticides. It provides premium taste and aroma of the usual coffee.

Health benefits of organic coffee-

Cognitive Health:

  • It is widely known that coffee helps to sharpen focus and increase attention by stimulating the brain with caffeine.
  • While this can sometimes result in a mental crash if too much coffee is consumed, the regular process of drinking organic coffee has been shown to protect cognitive health and prevent mental degradation as we age.

Cardiovascular Health:

  • Although too much caffeine can put strain on your cardiovascular system, research has revealed that regular organic coffee drinkers can actually reduce their risk of having a stroke, and also decrease the risk of heart disease.

Weight Loss Efforts:

  • An overlooked benefit of coffee is that it energizes people to move around, get active, and burn calories faster.
  • The actual stimulant nature of caffeine speeds up the body’s metabolism briefly and increases calorie burning when coffee is consumed. Furthermore, coffee acts as an appetite suppressant, thus helping in weight reduction.

Depression and Mood:

  • The natural effects of preferring organic coffee are activation and rejuvenation of the mind and body.
  • This can do wonders for someone suffering from depression. However, coffee has been connected to anxiety and mood swings if consumed in excess, because the classic caffeine crash can be quite severe as the chemical’s effect runs out.

When to consume coffee?

  • Coffee is a potent substance and should be used only in moderation—without sugar. It is highly recommend in having just one cup of organic coffee in the morning or before training, and that's it for the day.
  • If one exercises in the morning, then it is better to have your coffee prior to your workout, NOT after. Consuming coffee after your workout interferes with the body's muscle-building mechanism. Again, the body can handle whole, fresh organic coffee because it doesn't hit your system the way synthetic caffeine does.

Side notes-

Although drinking preferring organic coffee is the best thing to do, there are some side notes to get the best out of the morning coffee.

Whole Bean:

  • Purchase whole bean coffee that smells and tastes fresh, not stale; if the coffee does not have a pleasant aroma, it is likely rancid.

Drink it Black:

  • People who are very strict with their diet but still want to drink coffee it is best to drink the coffee black, without sugar or cream or flavorings.
  • Adding sugar to even black coffee will only spoil all the health benefits that are above by spiking the insulin levels, which contributes to insulin resistance. Also, while making black coffee, make sure that the water is pure.

Coffee Filters:

  • Make sure that the filter being used to make organic coffee is non-bleached filters. The bright white ones are chlorine-bleached, and some of this chlorine will leach from the filter during the brewing process.
  • Bleached filters are also notoriously full of dangerous disinfection byproducts, such as dioxin.

With all these benefits for preferring organic coffee the only thing that is left to do, is to change from the normal coffee to organic coffee so that we can enjoy a longer life span drinking that morning coffee, hoping that things will change after that first sip.
