You often see people eating greasy and fatty food and all you do seeing them is just slurp. Unfortunately, you cannot grab even a single bite of such lip-smacking delicacies, all thanks to your oily skin. The day you consume such food, there is a severe acne breakout. Also, the dirt and pollution add to your acne woes. To keep the oil at bay, you try all sorts of face washes and other products but they do not make an impactful change. Well, you should try some home remedies instead. Have a look at a few homemade masks, which will surely help you in keeping your skin oil-free.

  1. Besan, turmeric, lemon and milk mask

For this, you need two teaspoons of besan or gram flour, half a spoon of turmeric, a few drops of lemon and about three spoons of raw milk. Just mix all the ingredients to form a smooth paste. You can add more milk if the mixture is thick. However, ensure that is not runny otherwise it will not stay on your face. Apply this concoction on your face and allow it to stay until it dries off. This mask not only takes away all the oil from the face but also exfoliates it, giving it a fresh and glowing look.

  1. Fruits-based face mask

Fruits like lemon, tomato, grapes, orange and papaya are great for your skin as they all help in removing excess oil from the skin. It is so because they all have astringent oils in them, which act on dust and dirt. These fruits ensure tightening of skin pores, thus preventing oil secretion. To make this mask, you can take any of these fruits or even mix two of them. Make a pulp and add some honey to it. Apply on your face on a regular basis for best results.

  1. Tomato mask

Since tomatoes are rich in vitamin C, they act on the oil, which leads to pimples and other skin problems. This fruit shrinks the size of skin pores, therefore helping is minimum secretion of oil. To use it, just mash a tomato and apply its pulp on your face. Leave it for around 15 minutes. Later, rinse with tap water. Apply it at least thrice a week for promising results.

  1. Fuller’s earth face pack

This is definitely the most-trusted and age-old remedy to treat oily skin.  It helps in soaking the oil, dirt and dust from the skin and therefore, acting as an effective cleanser. Also, a regular application of this mask helps in preventing acne breakouts. To prepare this, soak some fuller’s earth powder in water. Add some lemon juice and rose water to it to form a paste. Apply it on your face and leave it for about 15 minutes. Later, rinse with tap water.

  1. Lemon and raw milk face pack

Owing its citrus properties, lemon easily takes away all the oil from the skin. Besides, it also acts as a skin lightening agent, giving you a fairer complexion. To make a lemon based mask, add a few drops of lemon juice to two spoons of raw milk. This pack is surely a natural cleanser for the skin. Apply the concoction on your face and let it dry. Later, wash off with normal water.

  1. Orange peel mask

Owing to its cleansing and skin-lightening properties, orange is a popular ingredient in several commercial beauty products. It is specially used in exfoliating scrubs and refreshing face washes. However, we can use them naturally as well. For using it, we need to first dry orange peels in some shade. Once they dry, grind them and store in a container. Whenever, you wish to use, just take a spoon of orange peel powder and mix it either with curd or raw milk. Apply this mixture and leave it for about 20 minutes. Later, scrub it off using tap water.
