  • Dietary fibre has been found to help reduce the blood cholesterol levels and might actually lower your risk for heart disease. Fibre is also important for maintaining proper bowel functions. Fibre-rich vegetables can help you feel fuller for longer and consume less calories per meal.
  • Folic acids, or folates, are very important part of helping the body form red blood cells. This is particularly good for the women who are or may become pregnant. They will need folic acid during pregnancy and supplements and foods with folates are needed.
  • Vitamin A found in nutritious foods keeps your eyes and skin healthy while protecting from infections.
  • Vitamin C is needed for healthy skin as well, aiding to heal cuts and keep teeth and gums very healthy.

Thus healthy eating habit can prevent and heal most of the diseases. There is no substitute to a healthy diet.
