Everyone wants a youthful and younger skin. However, everyone is aware of the fact that skin ageing is a natural and inevitable process. We tend to worsen it and speed up the process by having an unhealthy lifestyle, smoking, drinking, excessive caffeine, stress, over consumption of processed foods, etc. The increasing environmental pollution is also a very major contributing factor in skin ageing nowadays. One can opt for various home remedies to help the biological clock slow down and delay the ageing process of the skin. Some such products include:

Olive oil: It is an ultimate skin care product, easily available at home. Apart from the various beauty benefits that it harbors, it is also a very effective remedy to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. This oil is rich in natural fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. It is also easily absorbed by the skin pores and nourishes it well. This oil is loaded with natural antioxidants like vitamin A and E and, therefore, removes fine lines on the face and maintains the youthfulness of the skin.

You can simply apply a few drops of virgin olive oil to your face and neck before going to sleep. Wash it off in the morning.

Aloe Vera: It is well-known fact that aloe vera has many benefits for the skin. It is a boon for people with oily skin. Not only does it prevents pimples and acne, but also reduces oil secretion from the glands. A natural wrinkle remover, mallic acid is present in aloe vera, which helps in reducing fine lines and wrinkles and thus preventing skin ageing. Aloe vera is also rich in various mucopolysaccharides, which improve skin elasticity and help in retaining skin moisture.

To get the aloe vera gel, take a leaf of the plant and scrape off the skin. Apply the gel directly onto the skin and let it stay for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with cold water. The other option is to purchase aloevera preparation.

Fenugreek seeds: Fenugreek seed is amongst a common spice that is widely used in the Indian household. It has been used since ages against various ailments. It is a rich source of vitamin B3 and niacin, both of which help in slowing the ageing process and thus remove fine lines on the face. They also promote the formation of new cells and tissues. It also helps in reducing hyperpigmentation and fading age spots.

Soak a few seeds overnight and grind them to form a paste. Mix honey to this paste and apply it on your face. Let it stay for about an hour and wash off with cold water.

Honey: Honey is an excellent natural wrinkle remover moisturizer for the skin, which maintains the suppleness of the skin. It is also rich in potassium and vitamin B, which help in maintaining the elasticity of the skin.

 

               

Honey can be applied directly on the face. Let it stay for 20-30 minutes and wash it with cold or lukewarm water.

Avocado: It is a well-known product for weight loss and good health. Avocados are a great nutrient for the skin as well. With its rich content of various vitamins and minerals, it nourishes the skin pretty well. It is a great moisturizer for people having dry skin and also helps in repair and regeneration of cells. This fruit is rich in antioxidants and various amino acids, thereby detoxifying and promoting the formation of new skin cells.

Mash the pulp of a fresh fruit and apply it directly onto washed face. Let it stay for some time and wash with cold water.

Lemon Juice: It is an easily available product, enduring a huge array of skin and health benefits. With its rich concentration of citric acid and vitamin C, it is a great product for the skin as a whole. It acts by shrinking the open pores and also by tightening the skin and improving its elasticity. It also helps in improving complexion.

Squeeze out the juice of a lemon and apply it directly on the face using cotton. Let it stay for a few minutes and wash with cold water.
