A smile is considered to be a natural jewel. Your smile is the first thing that anyone notices about you. It describes your personality. A warm smile attracts people towards you, it defines you. To have a beautiful smile, you should have white and bright teeth, healthy gums and smooth and flawless lips. If you are wondering how to have them without the use of harmful chemicals, read on.

White Teeth

1. Lemon: We all know that lemon acts great as a cleanser. It cleanses our sinks, our utensils and now even out microwave ovens. But did you know that it
s great to whiten your teeth. All you have to do is mix some baking soda into lemon juice and apply this mixture to your teeth, scrub it with a toothbrush and rinse. You will get whiter and brighter teeth.

2. Oil pulling: Oil pulling is an Indian remedy used to enhance oral health. All you have to do is take a spoonful of organic oil and rinse your mouth with this oil for 10-15 minutes. Move the oil around your mouth by sipping, sucking and pulling it through the teeth gaps. Rinse your mouth with water thoroughly afterwards and drink a lot of water. Over a period you will get white teeth.

3. Strawberry: Mix the pulp of a ripen strawberry with sea salt and baking soda. Apply this paste to your teeth and massage for around 5 minutes. Rinse your mouth and brush your teeth as you usually do, and get white teeth in minutes!

4. Tea: What if I tell you that cup of Tea will help you get a radiant smile. You might wave off the idea saying that I have lost my mind. You would argue that tea leaves brown stains on teeth, how would drinking tea help my teeth? Your regular tea contains tannic acid which is responsible for the dark brown marks on your teeth. Whereas green tea contains catechin, which destroys the bacterias and virus which cause tooth decay. Catechin also reduces inflammation in the body thus reducing the gum swelling. It also has the ability to reduce the acidity in saliva dental plaque which improves your dental health.

Healthy Gums

Healthy gums are home to healthy teeth. Here are some tips to keep your gums healthy.

1. Clove: Mixing Clove Oil and black pepper and applying it to the affected area would reduce the swelling on the gums.

2. Ginger: Make a paste out of Ginger and salt and massage your gums with this paste to relieve yourself from the pain of swollen gums.



3. Lemon and salt water: If you want to keep your gums healthy, add lemon juice and salt to warm water and gargle with this mixture regularly. This will also keep your throat inflammation free along with healthy gums.

Soft and smooth lips

1. Ghee: If you have chapped and cracked lips. Not only your smile won
t look good but also, it would be very painful for you to smile. To get smooth and soft lips, warm up some Ghee and apply it on your lips before you sleep. Wash it off in the morning and you will realise that it washed off all the dead skin cells on your lips leaving them soft and supple. Additionally, you can also apply tea tree oil or mustard oil on the affected area.

2. Lemon: Apply some lemon juice on your lips before sleeping in the night. Wash it off in the morning with water. It process will help you remove the dry skin on your lips and will wash off the dead skin cells. Just remember, do not follow this method if youre already have severely chapped or cut lips, as in that case lemon will hurt your lips.

3. Honey: Mix one tablespoon of Honey with Brown Sugar and lemon drops and use it as a scrub for your lips. Gently rinse after 5 minutes and you will get smooth and soft lips.

4. Ice cubes: Sucking on ice cubes helps to chill all the cells in your cheeks and lips thus simulating the blood circulation resulting into plumper and rosy looking lips.
