We often visit the parlor to get artificial curls before attending any party or function. However, those who have natural curls are considered to be blessed. Curly hair basically is a result of the twisted shape of hair follicle. Curls not only look beautiful but give a volume and bounce to your tresses. But they are extremely difficult to manage. This is so because such hair type is more prone frizz, particularly in humid weather. Also, split ends and breakage are its other accompanied woes.

Frizz is the major problem, which can make your hair look unruly and ugly. There are several commercial products available over the counter to tame this frizz. They make give instant results but a regular usage can damage your hair ultimately. So, going the natural way is a smarter choice. We bring to you a few natural ways through which you can manage your curly locks.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a great remedy to tame your frizzy curls. Owing to its acidic nature, it helps in maintaining the natural pH balance of the hair. This further keeps the frizz under control and makes your curls shine throughout. Moreover, it acts as a natural clarifier by preventing the buildup of toxins on the scalp.

Just mix equal quantities of apple cider vinegar and water together. Once you are done with shampooing your hair, use this solution as a rinse. Let it stay for a few minutes and then, wash it off. Repeat this remedy once in a fortnight.

  1. Avocado

Avocado is another effective remedy for curly hair. Its moisturizing property ensures that your curls remain hydrated, soft and shiny.

Just mash one ripe avocado to get its pulp. Mix this pulp with two tablespoons of curd to get a creamy texture. Apply this hair mask and allow it to sit for about one hour. Later wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Prepare another concoction by mixing avocado pulp and some olive oil. After shampooing, massage your hair and scalp with this mixture. After half an hour, rinse off with tap water.

You can also make another hair mask by mixing banana and avocado pulp. Pour in a few drops of almond oil too. Apply it and leave for about 20 minutes. Use a mild shampoo for rinsing your hair off later.

  1. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is known for its smoothening properties and therefore, can make your hair cuticles soft and thus, promote shine. Since aloe vera is rich in water content, 20 minerals, 12 vitamins and 18 amino acids, it is extremely good for overall health of your hair.

Just scoop out the gel from an aloe leaf and massage your hair with it. After 15 minutes, rinse your hair with warm water.

Alternately, make a paste by mixing four tablespoons of aloe vera gel, two tablespoons of coconut oil and three tablespoons of curd. Apply this hair mask for about half an hour. Later, rinse off with lukewarm water. Repeat this remedy once in a week.

  1. Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek is an age-old remedy for hair woes. It contains high level of lecithin, which is basically an emulsifying agent. Owing to this property, it keeps the hair moisture intact and removes frizz-causing humidity. This makes your hair look soft and lustrous.

All you need to do is soak at least five tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in a cup of water for the entire night. Grind these seeds the next morning to get a thick paste. Now add around three tablespoons of plain curd and one tablespoon of olive oil into this fenugreek paste. Apply this concoction onto your scalp and hair and massage gently. Let the hair mask stay for about one hour. Afterwards, rinse off the tresses with lukewarm water. Then shampoo your hair using a mild one. Repeat this remedy at least once in a week.
