Since the wedding season is here, it is the time to look beautiful and make your skin glow. After all, you have to attend several parties this season. To look all glowing and pretty, you need not spend loads of money on it. All you need to do is head to your kitchen and make ubtans from the available ingredients. So, we bring to you a few homemade ubtans, which will surely make you the cynosure of all parties this wedding season. Take a look!

  1. Sandalwood Ubtan

Ingredients:

  1. Sandalwood powder
  2. Gram flour
  3. Turmeric
  4. Raw milk
  5. Rose water

All you need to do is mix sandalwood powder, gram flour and turmeric together. To this powder mixture add a few drops of rose water and raw milk to get a paste like consistency.  Make sure it is not too runny otherwise it will start dripping from your face. Apply this mask all over your face and neck area. You can also apply it on other body parts. Allow it to dry and then, wash off with normal water.

  1. Oatmeal Ubtan

Ingredients:

  1. Oatmeal
  2. Red lentil
  3. Raw rice
  4. Almonds
  5. Turmeric
  6. Rose water

Grind separately one cup of masoor dal or red lentil, about one-fourth cup of raw rice and eight almonds. Mix these powders together in a bowl and add half cup of oatmeal and pinch of turmeric powder to it. Now pour in rose water to get a thick paste. Apply this pack all over your body and then let it stay until it dries up. Once it dries, gently exfoliate your skin with this dried mixture. Later rinse off well with normal water. However, if you have dry skin, opt for fresh cream instead of rose water.

  1. Nutty Ubtan

Ingredients:

  1. Almonds, cashews, pistachios
  2. Flaxseed
  3. Masoor dal
  4. Rice
  5. Dried orange peel
  6. Saffron
  7. Sweet almond oil

To make this mask, firstly grind 15 numbers each of cashews, almonds, cashews and pistachios. Then take one-fourth cup each of flaxseed, rice, orange peel and masoor dal and grind them separately. Now mix these powders in a bowl and add one spoon of turmeric powder, pinch of saffron and a few drops of sweet almond oil. Also add honey and rose water to this mixture to form a thick scrub like paste. Apply it o your face and other body parts. Once it is semi dry, scrub it off gently. A regular application will give you a smooth and radiant skin for sure.

  1. Gram Flour and Wheat Bran Ubtan

Ingredients:

  1. Gram flour
  2. Wheat bran
  3. Milk cream or yoghurt
  4. Turmeric

For this ubtan, you need wheat bran, gram flour, milk cream and a pinch of turmeric. Just mix all these ingredients together in a bowl and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Meanwhile, massage your skin with some sesame oil. Now apply this mixture and allow it to dry. Rinse off well with tap water after half an hour. Leave it for half an hour and then, wash it off with lukewarm water.

  1. Milk powder Ubtan

Ingredients:

  1. Milk powder
  2. Gram flour
  3. Almond powder
  4. Turmeric
  5. Milk cream
  6. Lemon juice
  7. Rose water

All you need to do is mix two spoons each of milk powder, almond powder and gram flour. Now add a pinch of turmeric powder, and one spoon each of cream and lemon juice to it. Lastly, pour in a few drops of rose water and olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and then, apply it on your skin. Once the pack dries up, wash it off with lukewarm water.
