Excess exposure to dirt, dust and pollution can damage your hair and lose out their shine over a period of time. To protect them from this damage, use a green tea rinse. To prepare it, all you need to do is dip 3-4 green tea bags in about one liter of boiling water for about an hour. Once the mixture cools down, remove the bags. After shampooing your hair, use this water as the last rinse. Repeat this procedure at least once a week for stronger and shinier hair.
The antioxidants present in green tea provide relief to your tired eyes and make them look fresh and bright. It also reduces dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. All you need to do is take used green tea bags and refrigerate them for half an hour. Till then massage some olive oil on your eye lids and under the eyes. Place the ice-cold tea bags on your eyes for about 15 minutes. Later, wash your face with tap water. Alternately, take some green tea and refrigerate it for some time. Dip a cotton ball in this liquid and dab on your eyes lids and under the eyes.
Dried green tea leaves also work as a great exfoliating scrub. Just crush some dry green tea leaves and mix a spoon of oil in it. Mix well and scrub off the dead skin using this concoction. The abrasive texture of this scrub helps in getting rid of the dirt and dust deposits on the skin. Besides, green possesses anti-inflammatory properties, which are responsible for curing scars and blemishes. It can be used as both facial and body scrub. Just apply it in circular motion for 15 minutes once in a week for promising results.
For this dip a few green tea bags in boiling water for about 30 minutes. Let the water cool down and then, remove the bags. Dip a cotton ball into this liquid and use it as a toner on your skin. Do it in the morning and before going to bed. You can also refrigerate it in a spray bottle for a few days.
A regular consumption of application of green tea can reduce the effect of damage done by the excess exposure to sun. For its application, you can make a mask to heal sun tan. Just take three tablespoons of curd and one spoon of powdered green tea leaves. Mix well and apply on the affected area. Allow it to stay for about half an hour. Afterwards, rinse well with normal water. Apply this mask twice a week for preventing your skin from damage of UV rays and other burns.
