Apply this paste to your face after a rinse, once you have returned home after your day’s outing. Allow the face pack to stay on for at least about fifteen minutes and then wash with plain water. This face pack helps to remove the tan in your skin while it also moisturizes and tones it.
The previous recipe containing aloe Vera can also be used for skin lightening since it contains aloes in that naturally inhibits tyrosine activity. This in turn reduces the skin darkening process upon exposure to sunlight.
Flax Seeds are rich in alpha lenoleic acid (ALA) , Linoleic acid (LA) and oleic acid (OA) which are effective in reducing hyper-pigmentation as reported in recent studies. For this reason, flax seeds are effective to be used in de-tan recipes to remove the pigmentation due to exposure to harmful UV rays. Further research also revealed that flax seeds did not remove the melanocytes from skin. Instead, they actually increased the turnover ratio of cells in the stratum corneum or upper epidermal layer in the skin. Since more cells were being regenerated, the immediate tanning effect was found to be almost completely reversed.
Flax Seeds offer a safe alternative to harsh bleaches and cosmetics that are high in chemical content. Such chemicals often cause blisters, acne and other side effects while trying to de-tan. The best way to carry out your own de-tan procedure at home would be use Flax Seeds in your skin care recipes at home.
