  1. Heals chapped lips

A quick and easy remedy to cure this within a day is to lavishly apply organic ghee on your lips. You can reapply them any number of times during the day. For complete healing and to also prevent chapped lips, apply Ghee to your lips over night while you sleep. Ghee will make your lips hydrated and soft.

  1. Smoothens cracked heals

In olden days when there was no specific ointment for cracked heals, people use to take the help of organic ghee only. Wash your feet well and use a pumice stone to remove any residual skin that is peeling off along with dead cells. Then, apply ghee around your heels and allow it remain overnight. Applying regularly for couple of weeks is sufficient to heal cracked heals.

  1. Clears dark circles

You might have noticed that most beauty products such as creams, eye makeup products, blushes, etc have a note on them to not apply them to the under eye area. The reason being the skin underneath your eyes is very sensitive.

Take two tablespoons of Ghee and add one teaspoon of coconut oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. Apply this as a face mask and allow it to remain overnight. You can wash regularly with water in the morning. Your skin will become soft and supple instantly.

Ghee adds glow to your skin and you can use it in making different types of face packs. Take two tablespoons of masoor dal and add one tablespoon of besan. Take half a cup of milk and add two tablespoons of ghee to it. Add milk and ghee to the flour in small portions and stir well without forming lumps. Stop once the flour thickens to form a paste. Apply this paste on your face and allow it to remain for about twenty minutes and rinse with cold water.

Ghee repairs hair strands and applying ghee to your hair half an hour before washing your hair will make your hair shinier and silkier.

Ghee has been used for many centuries in eczema treatment. Eczema is a skin disease which causes dry skin, itching, inflammation and rashes that are controlled by applying ghee.

  1. Heals burns and wounds

Have you cut or burnt your hands over another one of your kitchen experiments? No problem, just dab a bit of Ghee on affected skin and it will heal quicker.

  1. Fades out scars

In Ayurveda, a shata dhauta ghrita preparation is made by taking Ghee in a big vessel and adding a cup of water to it and churning with the hands. Once churned, the water is drained and new water is poured in and the process is repeated for about twenty times until the ghee thickness, becomes white in colour and becomes void of moisture content. This preparation has many medicinal properties and can fade out scars including those caused by chicken pox and herpes.
