It is important to have a beauty treatment every once in a while if not often. But of course, we worry that the excessive usage of chemicals might harm our skin. This is why, I am sharing three great organic blends to take care of your hair and skin, that will pamper your hair and skin, keep them healthy without you worrying about the side effects of the harsh and harmful chemicals.

1. Hair Cleanser

Things You will Need

1/2 cup grape fruit juice

1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup club soda

7-10 drops of lavender essential oil

Squeeze in the juice of grape fruit, orange and lemon in a bowl and mix it together.

Now add the club soda to the juice mixture and mix it again.

Finally add the lavender essential oil and give the mixture a good stir.

Your hair cleanser is ready.

Pour it in a tinted glass spray bottle and use to as and when required. Don’t forget to refrigerate the bottle if you are going to use it later.

This cleanser stays good upto 2-3 days, but it is best to use it fresh for great benefits.

How To Use

Spray a few sprays of the organic citrus hair cleanser on your hair and let it sit in for about 2-3 minutes.

Make sure you don’t sit in the Sun with this citrus cleanser, else you might end up bleaching your hair.

Rinse your hair thoroughly after 2-3 minutes and wash it with a shampoo like you usually do.

2. Citrus Coconut Sugar Scrub

Things You Will Need

3-4 Tablespoons orange peel

1/4 cup orange juice

1/2 cup coconut oil

1-1/2 cup sugar

Start with peeling your orange. Make sure that you use really fine zester to peel or zest the orange into very small pieces. Remember, smaller the pieces, better it would be, this is because the smaller pieces help a lot better to exfoliate your skin.

Squeeze the juice from the orange into a bowl.

Now add the coconut oil to the orange juice and mix the two together well.

Now add the sugar and orange peel to the orange juice and coconut oil mixture and give the mixture a good stir, making sure that all the ingredients have been fully incorporated.

How To Use

Apply a generous amount of this home made scrub on your body, especially the rough and the flaky parts like the knees and the elbows.

Sugar helps to exfoliate your skin, the orange helps to cleanse and coconut oil moisturises the skin. This is what makes this a multipurpose scrub.

Rinse the scrub off of your body after around 10-15 minutes removing the scrub.

Another great thing about this scrub is that it dissolves with water and runs out of your drain without clogging it.

3. Mint Cucumber Aloe Vera Mask

Things You Will Need

7-10 mint leaves

1 cucumber

1/4 cup aloe vera gel

Wash the mint leaves and cucumber thoroughly ensuring that it is free from all the dirt or debris.

Roughly chop the cucumber, you can also peel it if you want to.

Blend the mint leaves and cucumber pieces making a fine puree out of it.

Add the aloe vera gel to the mint and cucumber mixture and blend it again. Make sure that the mixture is a fine puree, has no clumps and that the ingredients have completely incorporated with each other.

How To Use

Apply the mask on your face, covering your forehead, cheeks, nose, chin. You can also apply it on your neck if you want to. The good thing is, since it is organic and you know what all things you have put in it, you can even apply it underneath your eyes.

Also, cut two cucumber slices and place them on your eyes after closing them. This will be a great treatment for your eyes. You can also keep the cucumber slices in the freezer and use them chilled. This will soothe the eyes and reduce the darkness and puffiness underneath the eyes.

Keep this mask on your face for 15-20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.

Make these easy to churn beauty masks and scrubs whenever you find time and pamper your hair and skin at the comforts of your own home.
