Dandruff may be the result of a dry scalp, or a skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis. Dandruff is a common scalp disorder caused by the shedding of dead skin cells. It could also be caused by eczema, psoriasis, or, very commonly, an overgrowth of a yeast like fungus called malassezia. Dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that can affect your scalp, your ears, your eyebrows, the sides of your nose and your beard. Dandruff is a very common, generally harmless scalp condition that affects at least 50 percent of the human population. Here is some natural remedy to prevent dandruff from scalp.

  • Apple cider vinegar- Apple cider vinegar can be used alone to treat dandruff, or can be used with other natural and traditional remedies to fully treat dandruff the most effectively. Just mixes a quarter cup apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup water in a spray bottle and sprits on your scalp. Cover your head with a towel and let sit for 15 minutes to an hour, and then wash your hair as usual. Do this twice a week.

  • Tea Tree oil- One study showed that shampoos with just 5 percent organic tea tree oil significantly improves the severity of dandruff. Like coconut oil for hair, tea tree oil has the ability to soothe dry flaking skin, remove dandruff and even can be used for the treatment of lice. It has powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help to treat itchy scalp effectively.

  • Coconut oil- Coconut oil works as a deep moisturizer which can help to take care of dry scalp and treats dandruff effectively. Before showering, massage 3-5 tablespoons of coconut oil into your scalp and let sit for about an hour. You can also look for an organic shampoo that already contains coconut oil.

  • Lemon- Dandruff relief may be no farther away than your refrigerator. Just massage 2 tablespoons lemon juice into your scalp and rinse with water. Then stir 1 teaspoon lemon juice into 1 cup water and rinse your hair with it. Do this process once in a week.

  • Aloe Vera- This helps to combat hair loss by stimulating the regeneration and capillary nutrition for the recovery of hair. It has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Stop yourself from scratching by massaging aloe Vera into your scalp before shampooing. The cooling effects of aloe Vera will soothe the itch.

  • Olive oil- Olive oil is definitely a superstar amongst all the oils. It is full of antioxidants that help to keep the skin of your scalp in better shape. Massage about 10 drops into your scalp and cover with a shower cap overnight. Follow your regular shampoo routine in the morning.
