Babies need the best nutrition during their growing stage for proper physical and mental development. A child’s brain development is closely linked with the food intake. There are many ideal foods that must be introduced in your little one’s diet at each stage of development.

Here’s a short list of what to give your baby:

  1. 4-6 months

Single-grain cereals

These cereals are fortified with iron. As a baby’s natural reserve of iron depletes around 6 months of age; cereal intake is very essential. Prepare the cereal with baby formula/breast milk/water.

  1. 6-8 months

It’s time to introduce your naughty baby to the world of fruits.

Make sure special love and care is undergone while preparing the fruits. Select only fresh fruits, wash them, then bake, boil or steam until soft. Pureed or mashed fruits like bananas, pears, apples, apricots and prunes are all storehouses of various vitamins and minerals.

Milk/water can also be added along with the fruits. And sometimes mixing them with the cereals can bring about a great combination. It’s also the right time to feed yoghurt which is absolutely beneficial for the digestion and other metabolisms in our body. For protein we’ve to either go for beans or meat. While cooking, cut the meat/fish into really tiny pieces and cook for a good time, mash and gently feed your baby .

  1. 8-10 months

Make the food more solid, your baby will adapt to this gradually.

Do not make a puree; simply cook tasty vegetables or mash up soft foods. Also your baby is now welcome to the wonderful world of egg cuisines! But strictly no whites, stick to egg yolks. You may also gradually give them scrambled eggs cut into tiny little pieces.

Milk products! It’s time for your sweet baby to have her taste off cottage cheese or other dairy products.

  1. 10-12 months

Anything that you eat, mashed up or cut into teeny pieces will now be more than welcome to your baby. Watch your babies’ preferences and make sure his diet is well balanced, only a right amount of fat, vitamins and carbs can base up your little ones growth.

So here we checked out some basic dietary arrangements to be kept in mind for your baby’s proper nutrition. Feed your tiny tot with your love and watch them rise and shine in front of you.
