Your baby is jolly and cheerful all the time. But suddenly you see your kid sneezing and coughing. It can be heartbreaking to see your baby suffering from common cold. He will become moody, uncomfortable in almost every situation and may be difficult for you to feed him at this time. However, don't panic, it's called the 'common cold' for a reason - it is actually common and usually is not that serious. There are a lot of things that you can do to ease your baby's discomfort.

Try Out These Organic Methods to Keep Your Baby Healthy

Give your baby a Steamy Bath: Bathing your baby in lukewarm water with steam coming from the hot shower will help loosen up the mucus effectively. Use a gentle body wash to bring down his body temperature.

Change his Sleeping Pattern: Use soft pillows to help him sleep more comfortably. Keep the pillow slightly elevated so that he can breathe more easily during this time.

Rub Some Coconut Oil: Use your finger to rub gently some liquid coconut oil in and around your baby's nostrils. Be careful not to put it in his nose. You can also massage him with coconut oil.

Give him a proper massage: Massage your baby with baby oils  two to three times a day. Gently rub his chest, back and neck area. Also, cover your baby's palm and feet with the oil for better relief.

Make him rest:A huge amount of your baby's energy is lost when fighting an infection. Make him lie down in comfy blankets  to help him sleep peacefully. Resting will help his body in fighting against the infection more effectively.

Give your little honey some honey: Dip your finger in honey and let your baby lick it from your fingers two to three times a day. Honey helps in taming and soothing the cold providing your baby some quick relief.

Dress your baby lightly: Do not wrap him with heavy blankets. Dress your babies lightly with baby soft wraps and watch him smile.

Breastfeed your baby: Breastfeed your toddler as often as you can.Breast milk is rich in antibodies specifically for baby's environment. That is why breastfed infants suffer from fewer infections than those who are not given the formula.

Don't worry; your baby will be just fine. However, if you observe that the cold is persisting then consult the doctor.
